Part 1: Finding The Most Magical Cabin. An 8 Day Roadtrip near the Arctic Circle
I bought a ticket to Norway one week before the trip.
My friend called me, "you like to hike, are you interested in a trip to Norway near the Arctic Circle?". I spent two months going back and forth in my head: "not enough money," "not enough time”. But, one week before the trip, I booked it.
Did you know people are more risk incentivized versus gain? I’m not talking about FOMO (even though it is related). People are more likely to do something (by 2X-3X) if there is loss aversion versus upside. Within my case and internal battle, there is always an undeniable risk:
Waiting until it is too late.
I know, a little morbid, but I truly believe life is fragile. So, I packed a backpack and headed to one of the most northern parts of Norway: the Lofoten Islands. I had never heard of them before, but I'd always wanted to go to Norway to explore its incredible mountains and fjords. Ten hours later, after a direct flight to Oslo and then a quick flight (more info below), I arrived in what would become one of the most magical road trips.
